Disponibles en T1.5 ou T2, ces options permettent aux cinéastes de réaliser une grande variété d'effets expressifs.

Compatibilité avec la technologie /i

Cette gamme d'objectifs fixes est équipée de contacts électroniques prenant en charge le protocole de communication Cooke /i Technology pour les objectifs Art Prime PL-mount. En utilisant un objectif cinéma compatible avec la technologie /i sur une caméra prenant en charge le même protocole, les utilisateurs peuvent consulter et enregistrer les métadonnées de l'objectif, telles que la distance de mise au point, la longueur focale et l'ouverture. Cela simplifie la composition lors du processus de post-production. Cette technologie est particulièrement adaptée aux dernières formes de production cinématographique, telles que les VFX, qui nécessitent des métadonnées de prise de vue détaillées.

Inspection de chaque objectif

Trois exigences sont essentielles pour produire des objectifs exceptionnels : un design précis, une fabrication minutieuse et un contrôle qualité rigoureux. Les objectifs SIGMA sont le résultat de concepts de conception exceptionnels et de technologies de fabrication avancées, mais ne sont validés qu'après une évaluation stricte des performances optiques.

SIGMA a développé son propre système de mesure de la Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) nommé A1, utilisant des capteurs Foveon de 46 mégapixels en image directe. Même les détails à haute fréquence, auparavant indétectables, sont désormais pris en compte lors des contrôles qualité. Chaque objectif est testé individuellement avant d’être expédié, garantissant une qualité d’image exceptionnelle grâce à ces capteurs ultra haute résolution

Rendu des couleurs standardisé sur toute la gamme

Tous les objectifs de la gamme respectent la norme CCI de SIGMA, ce qui facilite l’étalonnage des couleurs lors de la post-production

6K-8K class resolution

Les objectifs partagent le même système optique que les objectifs photographiques SIGMA conçus pour une résolution de 50 mégapixels ou plus. Ils sont donc parfaitement adaptés aux prises de vue à haute résolution et idéaux pour l’incrustation chromatique (chroma keying).

Légers et compacts

Grâce aux technologies de fabrication de haute précision développées pour les objectifs SIGMA photo, les objectifs cinéma sont à la fois extrêmement légers et compacts. Tout en intégrant les fonctionnalités essentielles pour la production cinématographique, ces objectifs minimisent le poids et la taille, tout en étant optimisés pour une durabilité accrue. Cette approche garantit une performance optimale dans un format compact.

Construction résistante à la poussière et aux éclaboussures

Les objectifs disposent d’une construction résistante à la poussière et aux éclaboussures, similaire à celle du SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports. Toutes les bagues et la monture sont spécialement scellées pour empêcher l’infiltration d’eau et de poussière, permettant ainsi une utilisation dans des conditions extrêmes.

Bien que cette construction permette d’utiliser l’objectif sous une pluie fine, il n’est pas totalement étanche.

Peinture luminescente pour une meilleure visibilité

Les inscriptions, les bases de graduation et les indications de changement d’objectif sont revêtues d’une peinture luminescente pour faciliter le changement d’objectif en faible luminosité.

De plus, SIGMA propose une version entièrement luminescente, où les chiffres et les graduations sont entièrement peints avec une peinture fluorescente (service disponible moyennant des frais supplémentaires).

Gravure laser pour une meilleure durabilité

Les inscriptions des bagues et d’autres parties de l’objectif sont gravées au laser pour une meilleure résistance à l’usure. Il est également possible d’apposer du ruban adhésif sur les graduations sans endommager la peinture lors du retrait.

The filter size is standardized at Φ82mm or Φ86mm, allowing users to use the same size of ND filter on different lenses.

・Φ86mm：65mm T1.5 FF, 85mm T1.5 FF

・Not compatible：14mm T2 FF, 20mm T1.5 FF, 105mm T1.5 FF

95mm front diameter  (2)

For the 20mm～85mm T2 FF, 135mm T1.8 FF lenses, the front diameter is 95mm, similar to that of other cine lenses and compatible with matte boxes. Compared to lenses in the same class, Sigma’s cine lenses are more lightweight and compact.

For the Sigma 14mm T2 FF, CLAMP-ON RING 162MM COR-11 is available, and It extends the front diameter to 162mm.By attaching it to wide-angle matte box compatible with 6.6″ x 6.6″ in. square type filters such as the ARRI LMB-6 (2-stage) , it will allow cinematographers to film on full frame cameras without causing vignetting.

Ring operations

Standardized gear positions   (3, 4 and 5)

The positions of the gears in each ring are standardized, eliminating the need to adjust the follow focus, motor unit, or accessories even when the lens changes.

0.8M gear pitch   (3, 4, and 5)

Each lens has a 0.8M gear pitch, which is the standard for cine lenses, ensuring compatibility with existing accessories.

Silent ring stoppers   (3, 4 and 5)

The stopper of each ring incorporates a damper made of a special resin, resulting in silent operation. While offering a satisfying lock feel, this feature eliminates any metallic sounds, allowing the user to shoot with confidence in a quiet area.

180° focus rotational angle  (3)

At 180°, the rotational angle of the focus ring is more than double that of a still camera lens, making possible extremely high-precision focusing. Sigma has also optimized the cam for cine lenses for even easier long distance focusing.

160° zoom rotational angle  (4)

At 160°, the rotational angle of the zoom ring is more than double that of a still camera lens, making possible extremely high-precision zooming.

Iris with full manual control   (5)

Featuring manual control capability, the iris ring offers smooth control without clicks. The T-stop display, which is standard in cine lenses, contributes to high-precision exposures. Just like a high-end cine lens, the rotational angle of the iris ring is 60°.

Linear iris ring   (5)

The positions of the gears in each ring are standardized, eliminating the need to adjust the follow focus, motor unit, or accessories even when the lens changesThe linear iris ring gives users the same rotational angle per T-stop for direct, intuitive control.

Selectable focus ring with feet or meter graduations

Based on user needs, a focus ring with either feet or meter graduations may be selected. For a small charge, Sigma can also convert the ring from one type to the other after purchase.

Mount options and function

Mount Conversion Service

Seeing lenses as valuable assets, Sigma now makes the Mount Conversion Service available for its new cine lenses. Successfully implemented for their still photography camera lenses, this service allows users to convert their lenses to and from EF and E-mounts (charges apply). If the camera system changes, it is possible to simply convert the mount system to continue using the high-performance Sigma lenses.

Note: The Mount Conversion Service is not available for PL mount lenses.

PL/i, Canon EF and Sony E-mount
Selectable mounts available are the PL/i, Canon EF mount and the Sony E-mount (used on the Sony FS and FX series). All lenses in the lineup may also be used on still system cameras cameras with the compatible mount for outstanding movie shooting.

Mount with electronic contact

The mounts with electronic contacts allows the lens to communicate important information to the body (focal length, shooting distance, aperture etc.).

Enhanced EF mount*

The hole for the stopper pin has been strengthened with a separate part to minimize loosening over time and enhance long-term use.

*Only applicable for Canon EF mount

Dedicated lens support foot

Coming as a standard accessory with all lenses in the lineup, the lens support foot helps minimize load on the camera body while enhancing mount stability. The height of the seating surface is designed for compatibility with other accessories. Even though the lens is compact, its robust design offers two different screw holes for this accessory to increase user options.

Cine-style front lens cap

All lenses come complete with a conventional cine-style front lens cap.

USB dock and Mount Converters

USB DOCK UD-01

By connecting a Sigma Art, Contemporary, or Sports lens to a computer with the Sigma USB DOCK, photographers can update the lens firmware and adjust focus position and other parameters.

MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11

The Sigma MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 allows you to use your Sigma SA mount and Sigma EOS mount interchangeable lenses with the Sony E-mount camera body.

MOUNT CONVERTER MC-21

The Sigma MOUNT CONVERTER MC-21 allows Sigma SA mount and Sigma’s CANON EF mount interchangeable lenses to be used onL-Mount cameras.

MOUNT CONVERTER MC-31

Sigma MOUNT CONVERTER MC-31 allows PL mount lenses to be used on L-Mount cameras.
